I was delighted to meet with members of Broxtowe’s Hong Kong community at the Redeemer Church in Beeston, with a brilliant turnout of over 80 people!
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to come along and share your thoughts and experiences with me.
We had very important conversations about concerns around proposed changes to immigration policy, including English language and income requirements, and what impact this may have on Hong Kong BN(O) visa holders. We also discussed access to home fee status for university tuition, and concerns around transnational repression.
I really value the opportunity to listen and engage in dialogue about these issues. The voices of the Hong Kong community in Broxtowe deserve to be heard, and I am committed to raising their concerns with the Government.
