Juliet Campbell MP has joined over 40 Labour MPs in urging the Government to deliver justice to mineworkers .
In a joint letter to the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Juliet Campbell MP has called for further action to support former mineworkers and invest in our coalfield communities.

“The first Labour Budget marked a turning point by acknowledging the historic injustices surrounding the Mineworkers’ Pension Scheme, the Government must go further.
We are urging the Government to release the £2.3 billion investment reserve to members of the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme (BCSSS), ensure bonus pensions in the MPS are protected and future surpluses returned to members and invest £10 million a year for 5 years in the Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) to boost jobs, infrastructure, and opportunity.”
